Week 7 Wrapup

My Picks:

Week 1 58-12 (82.86%)
Week 2 52-9 (85.25%)
Week 3 46-19 (70.77%)
Week 4 45-15 (75.00%)
Week 5 44-15 (74.58%)
Week 6 37-19 (66.07%)
Week 7 39-16 (70.91%)

Season 321-105 (75.35%)

-------------------------------

* Good week if you like overtime games. Six contests needed more than 60 minutes to decide the victor.

* Both the #1 and #2 teams went down, as did Missouri, Cincinnati and Connecticut. Now only six unbeaten teams remain: Ohio St, South Florida, Boston College, Arizona St, Kansas and Hawaii.

* On the flip side of the coin, North Texas won its first game. Now only four winless teams remain: Colorado St, Marshall, Utah St and FIU.

* The Big Ten has seven teams with a 5-2 record, more than all of the other conferences combined (6).

* Speaking of the Big Ten, Indiana and Illinois came crashing back down to Earth this weekend, although in Illinois' defense, Iowa is a difficult place to win. On the other hand, Indiana just got smoked by Michigan St.

* USC continues to play teams close, much like they did last year. I expect them to lose at least one more game this season.

* Wisconsin and Texas A&M both were beat bad by teams that were generally regarded as being at the same level as them.

* Louisville is going to be one of those teams that aggravates me all season. They are capable of beating anybody, but they are also capable of losing to anybody.

Try 105 losses on the year ... not 134
