Week 5 Wrapup

My Picks:

Week 1 58-12 (82.86%)
Week 2 52-9 (85.25%)
Week 3 46-19 (70.77%)
Week 4 45-15 (75.00%)
Week 5 44-15 (74.58%)

Season 245-70 (77.78%)

-------------------------------

* Huge weekend for teams at the top. Eight previously unbeaten teams suffered their first loss and therefore a major blow to each's National Championship hopes. Now there are only 15 lossless teams remain.

* USC only beat Washington by a field goal, so the Trojans were in serious danger of falling from thier lofty perch.

* On the flip side of the coin, MTSU won this past weekend so now there are only 10 winless teams: Marshall, Rice, Notre Dame, Temple, Colorado St, Louisiana Lafayette, FIU, North Texas, Louisiana Monroe and Utah St.

* Five team won their first game against an FBS member this past weekend: Army, Western Michigan, Arizona, Fresno St and Nevada. That leaves only eight teams whose only wins are over FCS members: NC State, North Carolina, Memphis, UAB, Tulane, San Diego St, Idaho and Louisiana Tech.

* For the first week this season, no FCS team beat an FBS team.
