Week 7 Wrapup
My Picks:
Week 1 58-12 (82.86%)
Week 2 52-9 (85.25%)
Week 3 46-19 (70.77%)
Week 4 45-15 (75.00%)
Week 5 44-15 (74.58%)
Week 6 37-19 (66.07%)
Week 7 39-16 (70.91%)
Season 321-105 (75.35%)
-------------------------------
* Good week if you like overtime games. Six contests needed more than 60 minutes to decide the victor.
* Both the #1 and #2 teams went down, as did Missouri, Cincinnati and Connecticut. Now only six unbeaten teams remain: Ohio St, South Florida, Boston College, Arizona St, Kansas and Hawaii.
* On the flip side of the coin, North Texas won its first game. Now only four winless teams remain: Colorado St, Marshall, Utah St and FIU.
* The Big Ten has seven teams with a 5-2 record, more than all of the other conferences combined (6).
* Speaking of the Big Ten, Indiana and Illinois came crashing back down to Earth this weekend, although in Illinois' defense, Iowa is a difficult place to win. On the other hand, Indiana just got smoked by Michigan St.
* USC continues to play teams close, much like they did last year. I expect them to lose at least one more game this season.
* Wisconsin and Texas A&M both were beat bad by teams that were generally regarded as being at the same level as them.
* Louisville is going to be one of those teams that aggravates me all season. They are capable of beating anybody, but they are also capable of losing to anybody.

Week 7 Preview
Notes on the upcoming games this weekend:
* Missouri at Oklahoma -- Game of the Week. Oklahoma would be favored here regardless, but it doesn't help Missouri will be without their starting running back.
* LSU at Kentucky -- This is one of LSU's toughest road games this season. Which is why everyone is picking them to go undefeated.
* Illinois at Iowa -- Illinois can move to 4-0 in conference play with a good road win here.
* Texas A&M at Texas Tech -- The winner has a good chance at finishing second in the South, especially with Texas' struggles.
* Indiana at Michigan St -- I'm not sold on this Indiana team, but a solid road win against Michigan St would help their cause.
* Wisconsin at Penn St -- The Badgers need a good road win this week to get back in the good graces with the voters.
* Auburn at Arkansas -- I just can't see Arkansas falling to 0-3 in conference.
* Purdue at Michigan -- I'm not convinced that the Michigan D can withstand the aerial attack by Purdue, even in the Big House.
* TCU at Stanford -- One of the more disappointing teams plays one of the more surprising teams.
* Connecticut at Virginia -- Connecticut will become bowl-eligible with a win here. I don't think they will do it, which will kill their chances of getting into the AP or USA Today Top 25.
* Arizona at USC -- I'm guessing USC will bounce back after a bad home loss to Stanford.
* Texas at Iowa St -- Both of these teams are looking for their first Big 12 victory.
* Toledo at Buffalo -- Buffalo has a great chance to win consecutive games for the first time since 2001.
